"Anthony Edwin Phillips" (Anthony Phillips) é um músico da Inglaterra, nasceu em Londres em 23 de dezembro de 1951 e é conhecido por sua participação na banda "Genesis". Ele tocou guitarra e cantou como vocal de apoio até sua saída em 1970, seguido do lançamento do segundo álbum da banda, "Trespass". Após aconselhamento médico, o músico deixou a banda por pânico de palco (apresentação em público). "Nursery Cryme", o primeiro álbum do "Genesis" após a saída de "Phillips", contava com duas canções ainda da época do músico na banda, "The Musical Box" e "The Fountain of Salmacis". 
Depois, "Anthony Phillips" estudou música erudita e realizou gravações com "Harry Williamson", "Mike Rutherford" e "Phil Collins", entre outros. Seu primeiro álbum solo foi lançado em 1977, "The Geese and the Ghost", é simplesmente maravilhoso, eu particularmente gosto muito e recomendo. Seu segundo álbum, "Wise After the Event", foi lançado em 1978, seguido de "Sides" em 1979.
